next thing. we were on  blue train travelling. it was like ashitty romanian one, not a modern one., almost empy inside. v small – like one at s place for choldrne. there were diwnows without glas. O sat with one foot out the window. the codncutot told me not to so I rtook my foot in. the track was high above the land. it was open woodland and pretty.

Did the Russian secret service hack into the Democratic National Committee’s emails? It seems probable. Russia has been accused of this sort of thing several times before. The United States presumably does the same.

Hillary was fiercely critical of Russian government policy. As she excoriated Putin her rival praised him to the moon. V V Putin returned the compliment. As Moscow blatantly favoured Trump why would it not seek to tip the election to his advantage. Does the Kremlin want an American president who is amenable to it or not? Of course it does.

Let us assume the allegations are true. What do they amount to? The Russian secret service exposed information from the DNC database. This was all true and none of it was disinformation. That is the size of it. As interfering in elections goes this is child’s play. It was not bogus voting or disallowing valid votes. It will have had a negligible effect on the outcome. As Trump won by only 150 000 in the vital states this probably made the difference.

The US has often meddled in elections in other countries.
