DINOSAURS
A dinosaur was a type of animal that lived millions of years ago. They were reptiles like crocodiles. They had hard skin. They laid eggs. There were many species of dinosaurs. They all died out maybe due to a dust cloud.
Dinosaur is Latin for terrible lizard.
A tyranosaurus rex was the largest one. This means in Latin – tyrant king. There was also a tricerotops with horns.
Some dinosaurs swam and some flew. Their bones have been discovered. They were varied and many were huge. There are no dinosaurs now.
Dinosaurs are fascinating. There are many films about them like Jurassic Park.
