Say ‘No’ Garden Bridge for London;

I much appreciate green space particularly in a connurbation. Parks are some of London’s most alluring features.

Garden Bridge is to be constructed in Londinium at the cost of some GBP 175 millions. Admittedly only around a third of this is to come from Her Majesty’s Treasury. Nonetheless it is still a hefty sum for the taxpayer to disburse. Is this really the best way to spend the money? London has many more pressing needs. It strikes me as squandering public funds. In such times of austerity the money ought to be spent more prudently.
