Gzregorz Dorobek case

The ECJ case

this was from Poland. 16 people brought cases against Poland’ It was about which side the steering wheel is on

in Poland a vehcile can only be registered if thhe streering wheel is on the left because Poles drive on the right.

Can the EU issue orders on this?

This is a freedom of movement and free trade issue

Can member states sometimes go against general instructions

Grzegorz was in the United Kingdom. He returned to POland with a British car. He was refused the right to register it

The Commission saood that the man should be permitted ro register his UK car in Poland/ The ECJ agreed. a car that is safe enoygh for one EU country must be allowed in all of them
