The name

My name is pronounced Calers with a short ‘a’. I have a single ‘l’ here so one knows that this is not pronounce ‘callers’ as in people who call.

As for other names – when was it that Labour lost its ‘New’ prefix’?

At least the Conservative and Unionist party has not change its name. Has it officially dropped the ‘Unionist’ part? I have not seen it in any bumpf however obscure for yonks.

About Calers

Born Belfast 1971. I read history at Edinburgh. I did a Master's at UCL. I have semi-libertarian right wing opinions. I am married with a daughter and a son. I am allergic to cats. I am the falling hope of the not so stern and somewhat bending Tories. I am a legal beagle rather than and eagle. Big up the Commonwealth of Nations.

  1. If Labour hadn’t already lost the ‘New’ prefix for good already, it certainly did when it got into bed with the Unite bullies behind the BA strike. I think this is a key line of attack for the Tories in the election.

Thanks for your emails old pal – been away in Belfast over the weekend and in court tomorrow morning, but will reply properly then! Can’t wait to catch up in person next week.

    • Labour is desperate to shore up its collapsing support so it is trying to curry favour with the trades unions that it has ill-used over the past baker’s dozen of years. When is the election going to be called? I am expecting it every day. Will this is April Fools’ Day.
